Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-01
Our position in plain English
- We do not require accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, brokers, or data brokers.
- Your preferences and watchlist live only in your browser's local storage. They never reach our servers.
- We do not run third-party tracking pixels, ad-network cookies, or social-media trackers.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy describes how SoftTelRG ("we," "us") handles data in connection with the Wave Rider service. For privacy questions, email support@softTelRG.com.
2. Data stored in your browser
Wave Rider uses your browser's localStorage to remember your preferences and watchlist between visits. Specifically:
- Preferences (stored under key
wr:algorithms:v1): the filter and scoring configurations you create or edit. - Watchlist (stored under key
wr:watchlist:v1): the list of up to 10 stock symbols you choose to track with live quotes.
This data is stored only in your browser on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, and we have no way to see or recover it if you clear your browser data. If you use Wave Rider on multiple devices or browsers, your preferences and watchlist do not sync between them — that's by design.
3. Data we receive at our servers
When your browser requests pages from Wave Rider, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard HTTP request metadata: your IP address, your browser's User-Agent string, the URL you requested, and a timestamp. This data is used to:
- Serve the page to you,
- Apply per-IP rate limits on API endpoints (to protect our upstream API quotas),
- Diagnose and respond to service issues (our host retains logs according to their operational needs).
We do not associate these request logs with any personal identity, because we do not have user accounts. We do not perform behavioral profiling, demographic inference, or cross-site tracking.
4. Aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics)
We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly page-view counter built into our hosting platform, to measure how many people visit each page and which features are used. This helps us understand where to improve the service.
Vercel Analytics is first-party (it runs under our own domain), does not set cookies, does not record personally identifiable information, and does not build user profiles across sessions or across websites. It records aggregate page views, approximate geography at a country level, referrer URL, and basic device and browser information — all anonymized. We cannot, and do not, link this data back to any individual user.
You can read Vercel's own privacy documentation at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-and-data. If you prefer to opt out, any standard browser mechanism that blocks JavaScript or first-party analytics (for example, browser extensions like uBlock Origin) will block Vercel Analytics as well.
5. Third-party API calls from our server
To display market data, our server makes requests to public APIs operated by DEXScreener, Coinbase Exchange, CoinGecko, Yahoo Finance, Finnhub, and FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data). These requests originate from our server, not from your browser. The providers see our server's IP address, not yours, and do not receive any identifying information about you.
When you click an outbound link to an external service (for example, a Yahoo Finance stock quote page, a block explorer, or an exchange listing), your browser connects directly to that service and their own privacy policy applies. We do not control what they do with information they receive.
6. Cookies
Wave Rider itself does not set any cookies for tracking or advertising. Vercel Analytics (described in section 4 above) does not set cookies either. Our hosting provider may set a small number of strictly functional cookies necessary for operating the site (for example, ensuring requests reach the correct server region). We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Email contact
If you email us at support@softTelRG.com, we receive the content of your message and whatever email address you used to send it. We use that information only to respond to you. We do not add you to any marketing list, do not share your email with third parties, and delete inactive correspondence periodically.
8. Children
Wave Rider is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
9. Your rights
Because we do not maintain user accounts or personal profiles, most traditional data-subject rights are handled by you directly through your browser:
- Delete your data — clear your browser's local storage for
waveriderscan.com. This removes all your preferences and watchlist entries. - Export your data — in the preference editor, use the "Export JSON" button to copy your preference configuration. To export your watchlist, you can view local storage in your browser's developer tools.
- Block analytics — any content-blocking browser extension will prevent Vercel Analytics from loading.
For questions that involve server-side logs (for example, a GDPR or CCPA request regarding IP-address retention), email support@softTelRG.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because we do not have user accounts, we cannot notify you individually of changes — please review this page periodically if you care about the details.
11. Contact
